Umpqua's Tiemco 100 SP-BL are very versatile fly fishing hooks. Even though they were designed as a foundation for dry flies, these hooks work just as well for many nymph patterns. The straight shank is perfect for Catskill style and parachute mayfly dry fly patterns, as well as pheasant tail and hare's ear nymphs. If the pattern recipe calls for a straight-shank fly tying hook, use the TMC 100 SP-BL as a barbless alternative and help reduce fish mortality in the process.
